Developed by Microsoft, RoboCopy (a.k.a Robust File Copy) is a command line tool that can be used to copy files from one location to another. It is popular because it is better than the built-in Windows copy and xcopy commands.
Developed by UpWay2Late Software, WinRoboCopy is a GUI (graphical user interface) frontend for the aforementioned RoboCopy command line tool.

A simple installation procedure must be completed to get started with WinRoboCopy. Said installation process is presented in the Quick Look video that accompanies this article. View the video and you will see just how easy it is to get WinRoboCopy up and running on a Windows-powered machine. Once the setup wizard is done installing WinRoboCopy on your PC, it will ask to run the application.

With WinRoboCopy you can create copy jobs. The interface presents the elements of the copy job: name, the location of the data that will be copied, the location where the data will be copied, file filters, and so on. The interface isn’t the prettiest thing in the world, but it is easy to figure out and easy to use. From it you will be able to easily create, save, and run copy jobs.

Check out the WinRoboCopy Help and Information for a detailed list of commands and other useful info about using the application.
